As part of its policy, Works Alberta Ltd. seeks to ensure the health, safety, and environmental protection of employees by providing safe working conditions, by developing safe work practices and by providing employees with safety and environmental training.

At Works Alberta Ltd. all management functions will comply with the safety policy and government legislation as they relate to planning, operation, environmental protection and maintenance of facilities and equipment.

Works Alberta Ltd. recognizes that accidental loss can be controlled through good management in combination with active employee involvement. Safety and the protection of the environment is the direct responsibility of every employee.

Safety is a top priority for all of our companies. In 2008, the Works Alberta group was pleased to be awarded the International Crystal Woodpecker Award from Colas. The Woodpecker Award is the highest safety award achievable by all Colas companies worldwide. In 2008, Works Alberta achieved a safety rating of 0.00, an accomplishment that our group is very proud of.
